The goal of this online learning community is to discuss the importance of seamlessly integrating technology into our campus' curriculumn. Different grade levels and content areas will collaborate their ideas on how to be effective in streamlining the technology goals listed in the Long-Range Plan for Technology 2006-2020 with other teachers at Sidney Lanier Elementary.
Discussion Questions:
1. Compared to other teachers in your grade level what is your level of proficiency with Technology: Below Average, Average, or Advanced? At what level of proficiency would you rate the other members in your grade level?
2. What are your strengths and weaknesses with using technology? (personal/technial use, curriculumn or instructional use, lack of planning time, professional development, etc.)
3. As an educator what technology professional development classes would you like to take during the '09-10 school year? How would these classes most benefit your students in preparing them for the 21st century skills they will need in the future?
4. What technology projects have your students created within the past 5 years? What technology skills have these projects incorporated? How have these technology projects impacted the learning of your students?
